Alberto Gonzales, whose only qualification for his office is that his initials are the same as the job's, has resigned. And I think not a moment too soon. The bullshit that came out of his pen and sullied otherwise useful paper has caused damage to our American cousins society and legal system that will take a long time to undo, not to mention their international reputation.
