this woman is so nuts, I'd almost (almost) believe she's a plant by the Democrats. I think to myself "Even the republicans aren't this loopy" and then DeMint or Palin or Bachmann opens their piehole and out comes a torrent of crazy and I have to admit that "Yep, the Republicans are that cuckoo" --Does Fox news broadcast somekind of James-Bond-Villian-Ultra-High-Frequency noise that turns people's brains into pudding or something?

If you haven’t heard of the recent child abuse reports in Ireland, hit the Googles. We’ll wait. Pretty fucked up, eh? It’s a mess. On the other side, it seems that there is a forming backlash against the power of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Part of this backlash is a movement to leave the church . It seems that this is belied a bit by the recent passing of the Blasphemy Law in Ireland. We can take it as read that this is a massive step backward from freedom of expression. And all for a victimless crime. The nice thing is that there is a backlash against this as well with commentary and with Irish atheists promising to test the law out. It boggles the mind that there’s even a debate about this sort of crap.

Ah, the sweet smell of dodgy bullshit

Sigh. Sky News just had a story onthe "choking game," a new internet driven craze where school kids choke each other until unconscious, for shits and giggles. There were any number of BS markers. First, the first victim died of autoerotic asphyxiation - not really the same thing. The second victim died 16 years ago. The tone of the piece was to give the impression that millions of kids were doing this, but they only had four clips to run in the background.
